I am curious to what normal theater prices are right now. We only pay $4.00 where I live, and I wondered how much difference there was. Oh and since I figure I will be told I am full of it on the price  here is the link to the theater http://moviesten.com/

I think it's about 5 bucks at our local small town theater.
Over in Memphis it's 9 bucks.
I'd rather do Netflix most of the the time, but I do like to see a movie in a theater every once in a while.

I think an average here in Dallas is like $8 or $9...its rediculous really. We generall go to the dollar movies or rent.

$7.50 for the nice one by our house but $1 for the theater where some one was shot and killed while standing in line and wearing the wrong color on that side of town. DD1 usually goes to the movies once or twice a month but we hardly ever go and she can obviously only go to the nice one by our house.

I loved Netflix while I had it. I didn't have any trouble with their service and for 20$ a month it was really terrific. As soon as I'm moved, I'll be picking it up again. You can always check the FAQ on their website. :)

I love Netflix. For 13 bucks a month ( I Think), I get two movies at a time. I can send them back and get other movies several times in a month ( and they are pretty quick on turnaround) or forget to send them back and they sit on the tv stand for 3 weeks, and I still have the same 13.00 to pay.
No late fees, if you want to watch another movie, you'll be motivate to send the one you have back, lol.
No idea if they send to a PO box.

We pay $9-10, slightly less for kids. I don't even think there is a separate matinee price at most movie theaters around here these days. We hardly ever go to the movies because it is a $50-60 endeavor for the whole family to go, including popcorn to share and a drink. We have Netflix and I love it. We even forgo having HBO and Showtime and rent the seasons of the shows we want to watch.

It's $8.50 after 5:00pm, like $7.50 before, for the new movies. There's a drive-in that shows movies that have been out for a couple weeks which is like $5 per car for a double feature. Or there's the dollar show that plays movies that are just about to come out on DVD.
We don't go to the movies often either because it's so damn expensive. WHen we do go though, we don't buy food or drink just out of principle. It should be illegal to charge that much money for refreshments.

Sometimes. I think Hulu has a movie section.
I pay $1 to rent a movie at the Redbox or DVDXpress, or I'll watch it on TV. I rarely, if ever, go to the movies. The last time I went was when Twilight came out, and I'll be there for the opening of New Moon, but that's it. It costs about $9 to watch a movie here.
We don't have a $1 theater anymore. We used to, and we loved it.

I remember reading somewhere that movie theaters don't make any money off the movies themselves, so they have to charge a buttload for extras to make profit.

They send to our military PO box. And you don't need to worry about forgetting to send things back. They dont' charge late fees. YOu can keep a movie as long as you want. You just don't get the next one on your list until you send one back.
It's $3 for the base theater but I get in for free since I work for MWR.
