Sex and labor

Maybe a dumb question, but I'm 38 weeks pregnant. Should I worry at this point that sex will put me in labor? I don't actually want to give birth yet - unless it's actually time for her to come if that makes sense.

I wouldn't worry. Sex helps baby come when baby is ready.

Sex won't cause the baby to come any sooner than he/she is ready, once you're that far along. Even before then, if your pregnancy is healthy and you're not at risk for preterm labor or on pelvic bedrest, sex is considered perfectly safe for pregnancy.

Sex is dirty during pregnancy. It leaves dents in the baby's head and can cause heartburn.


Too funny=) She's really high up though. I don't think dh can hit her. And I have heartburn 24/7 so I'm used to it.

Berry flavored tums are my after meal snacks - my all the time snacks really. My first baby was positioned very low for a very long time. It was hard to walk.

I am 38 weeks too My dr.'s always told me sex was fine. We have been having it a few times a week since I found out I was pg (sorry tmi)

For heartburn carrots and milk really help me.... I have to have it every night before bed or I am up all night throwing up.

At 38 weeks, I would not have minded if it did put me into labor. If you feel like having sex at 38 weeks, you go girl!
