Damn..Damn...Damn....Well, I'm making the call today to my OB/Gyn to get the ball rolling. I guess it's a good thing that I do my monthly self breast exams. (Ladies, you all better do it too!). Breast cancer runs rampant in my family. My mom had at 48, her sister and both my grandmothers had it. I'm scared....

Remember, even with a family history, most lumps turn out to be nothing to worry about. And if it is cancer, the fact that you've been doing monthly exams and found it yourself is a good thing. The earlier it's caught, the easier it will be to get rid of.

That is scary. I hope it's nothing. I have to admit I am very bad about not doing the exams. I did them before I had my second and third girls, but now after 8+ years of breastfeeding I guess I've figured I am in the clear. I bet I should check anyway though right?

I hope your appointment is soon so you don't have to worry too much and that nothing is wrong!

I hope it is nothing too.

It may be just because you are nursing. That can cause lumps, in my experience.

But it is always better to be safe and put your mind at ease!

UPDATE sort of: My OB/Gyn is wonderful. She was able to squeeze me in today. She did a very thorough exam and she felt that the lump did not raise a flag for her. She wants me to come back next month for a recheck and to schedule my breast ultrasound and a mammogram. If there are any changes before the August 10th appointment, I am to call her and come in before.....Thank you for all of your encouragement and prayers. I am hoping that this is just a change because of hormones or bf'ing....
