This is not a post to remember a child of mine, but to remember all the souls who have touched my life, however briefly so that they will not be forgotten.

My Grandfather whom I was with when he died in a car crash when I was a child.

My Mother, who died from breast cancer when I was a teen.

My niece and nephew who were put up for adoption because my sister loved them more than life itself.

My unborn nieces or nephews whose mothers suffered through the unbearable pain of misscarriage.

The many souls whose names are too numerous to mention whose stories have touched my soul recently and for whose families I anonymously and silently grieve.

May your pain be brief and peace come swiftly to your side.

I guess this is the place to finally talk about my avatar. Thanks for opening the floodgates, Ruby Pearl.

The picture is my nephew, Tyler, holding my daughter when she was a baby. He died last November in a car fire. He was the most lovable person, and the most needed.

It was his birthday yesterday, he would have been 20.

If my baby is a boy, I'm thinking of giving him Tyler for a middle name, especially since he's due in November.

Thank you for your kind words Ruby Pearl. I'm sorry for your tragic losses.

Shawnee, I hope you do have a boy. How special to share a name with such a handsome cousin. I'm sure he would be proud to bear his name. Especially when you tell him who he was named after.
