Originally I was going to stop pumping at work when baby was 6 months but now I'm having second thoughts. Anybody pump at work past the 6 months? Any advise/ Encouragement

I've been pumping now for 21mo. You won't need to pump as much as your baby gets older. I thought I'd stop at a year but just kept on going since I had no reason really to stop. She still drinks the milk during the day and I like be able to provide it. If you still can I would pump. The benefits don't stop even after a year :)

I pumped for 10 months. I worked 3 nights a week 7p-7a. I basically stopped because I couldn't stand it anymore! But I continue to breastfeed my DD and don't see myself stopping anytime soon.
I would say to listen to yourself and do what you think is right for you. Even if you choose to stop pumping, you can still breastfeed your baby.
Good luck!

suzy is 10 months and i'm still pumping. i'm planning on pumping until her first birthday and then getting rid of the damn thing because I'VE HAD ENOUGH!!
don't get me wrong, it's lovely and i'm so pleased to make milk for her, but i cannot wait to stop carrying the thing around, washing the parts, etc etc etc.
thank heavens for whole milk!

I stopped pumping at one year. I would avoid cow's milk. They can get nutrition from the nursing they do and the wholesome foods they eat. Cow's milk protein is very allergenic.

I also plan to pump for at least one year, if not longer. My DS is three months now, and wow do I hate pumping but it is so beneficial to baby that I can't imagine quitting...it's really such a short amount of time in the long run!
