Pumping and supply question

Hi there,

I'm new here and am glad that this website is up. There's such great information; it's a great resource and help.

My question is: After pumping, how soon will my milk come again? I put my baby down for her nap, but I felt engorged on one side. I decided to pump and am worried I won't have enough milk for the next feed.

Milk production is an on demand basis and you are never empty. So she will always get milk but it just might not be at the fast/full flow she is use to but your body is smart it will know after she latches on that it needs to start making more milk...so as a result it will make more milk. I would just nurse her on the side you didn't pump and if she wants more than just switch sides. I think she'll be fine momma! :)
