Ladies,

I have a 17-month-old DS who dearly loves his mum-mums and couldn't possibly go to sleep (much less sleep through the night) without them. In two weeks, I have to go on a business trip to Vegas, leaving on Sunday and not returning until the wee hours of Thursday night. My husband keeps saying that I should leave the baby with him, go on the trip and all will be well. I can tell you that he is insane if he thinks I can leave my little nursling that long!

So what am I planning to do? I have purchased a plane ticket for my husband, and the three of us will be flying together. He will be my nanny while I am attending the conference, and then we can spend family time together in the evenings and during breaks.

That way, I don't have to worry at all about how my little one is doing without me and his mum-mums. The only thing I am concerned about now is how to survive the plane trip (Missouri to Vegas). Any suggestions??

Hey,

Not so creative and I used it on a 5 hour 30 minute car ride and not a plane but the portable DVD keeps my 20 month old in a trance like magic. Probably not healthy but it got us through the trip.

Good luck traveling!

Traveling with a baby was never hard for me. Just nurse at take off and landing - and more if your baby wants. Bring toys and snacks. That's about it. Mine tended to sleep on the plane - never in a car but usually on the plane.
