I'm concerned about my soon to be 13 week old.
He's been drooling for a few weeks now but for the past few days he's been drooling even more. He has also been chewing on his hands for a few weeks but for the past few days he's been constantly putting them in his mouth as well as anything else he can. His BM are the same colour and odour but they were rather slimy yesterday. He is so very cranky and fussy. He used to laugh, smile and play with me now I get a smile sometimes through the crying. He's up more frequently at night and its more difficult to get him to sleep. And he wasn't napping at all until I gave him a bit of tylenol last night. He sometimes whimpers and lets out a scream at the breast but keeps nursing.
I noticed two lumps just behind the gumline in the bottom front but honestly it could have been like that all along. I don't remember.
He can't hold teething toys in his mouth yet so I comfort him the best I can which means nursing more. And boy am I getting sore. His cries are the typical hunger cry so I'm not sure if he's really hungry or just looking for comfort.
I do plan to call our doctor tomorrow but I was hoping someone might have some insight. Could he be teething this early? Although it is about time for another growth spurt. Does this sound like any illness?
Thank you in advance.

He can be teething. Also, for some babies, teething pain seems to precede the appearance of teeth by quite a long time.

If Tylenol is helping him nap, you can be pretty sure something hurts. But he could have a sore throat, or an ear infection, or even oral yeast. You will want to look around and possibly chat with your pedi.
