How are all of my BF friends? I suspect I have missed the arrival of some sweet babes and would absolutely love to be caught up with pictures. Let's go ahead and make this a shameless picture thread in fact, I want updates on all the munchkins. It has been a while and it would do my heart good to catch up with everyone.
Now for my unloading part. We have a family member going in today to have a C-section. This is scheduled and extremely planned. She doesn't even want to feel a contraction so she is bringing this baby into the world 2 weeks early. I feel like crying. Originally she was going to induce on 9/9/09 because that would be a cool birth date (eyes rolling big time) but she decided to not take the risk on actually going into labor. I know it is her body and her baby, but I am absolutely mourning the loss of the experience she is missing out on and on pins and needles about the risk she is exposing to her baby and body. I am just at a loss of words to describe how I feel about what our society has done to child birth. I am glad I have good friends here that I can share my feelings with so I can do otherwise when around the fam...
In the beginning I did share my experience with her and told her it was her decision but just to read and understand everything before she made a decision. She told me she had already read everything and wanted only the best for her baby. It was a very candy coated response. Since then I have been silent and OK but today I am very, very sad.
But I am sure lots of pics (andy maybe some chocolate "easter") would pick my spirits up!

I will never understand why people think c-sections are "easier". Fearing for their vaginas I guess? I held on to the hope that my vagina was designed to do this job. I like to reassure pregnant women. "To answer your question, yes, it goes back to normal."
Regardless of how baby comes into the world I wish your family the best! Congratulations on the new addition!

I was devastated when I had to have a planned c-section at 37weeks due to a full placenta previa. I couldn't imagine choosing to have one. However, I knew in my situation there was no other options. It sucked but my baby was very healthy and the procedure went extremely well. I had what I think was a great experience compared to many other moms. However, for next time I am looking forward to child birth pains! Somehow, compared to what your body goes through with a c-section, the pains of birth don't scare me.
Praying for a happy and healthy baby for your friend!
Here's my nookie. She's 21mo. now and still nursing strong!

Hey whitness, I have been reading your posts for over a year and just realized that I had my son three days after your daughter was born. She is a cutie! I love this age!

Whitness! She just screams hug me! I remember when we met for breakfast and how good she was. What a cutie!
I agree with you, c-sections are there for a reason and your case was one of the reasons.

HI!!!! Miss you!
I also had a family member elect for a c/s. Her body and choice, i know but it really bothered me! It was a week early. Her reasoning was a pain free delivery....umhmmm. Of course then I had to hear, and still do have to hear all about how "Easy" i had it since I had a vag delievery. Sweetheart, it was YOUR choice!
Such cute babies everyone!!
Funny set of pics are the most recent I have....

Hi! Well, that would really get my blood boiling. I'm due in about 6 weeks and my boss can't understand why I can't give her an exact date of when I will be going on maternity leave. I finally had to look at her and say "I'm not going to be induced so there is no way I can give you an exact date." People just don't know what to do when a women goes into labor on her own!

Coffee soon? How are Tim and the boys? Any more public urination situations? ;)
I am determined that we are not going to wait until Christmas to get together again! My next week is going to be crazy what does the following week look like for you? I can either meet you for lunch or coffee.
Fortunately, we have not had any more public urination episodes but I don't think I have had my last. Seems to be part of the territory with boys.
Tim is great, we are loving being closer to work. We have had tons of family time and have been making the most of it this summer.

Aww thanks darling! I would happily take you at my doorstep. If I ever get to visit my cousin in TX we will all have to meet up!
Geez that was a big 'ol baby huh? I hope all is going well your way. I am sure the boys are growing like crazy!
Well, the belly is not so perfect this time...baby #3 has brought on some stretch marks!! Odd I never had them at all with Lilly or Brody, but before I had even gained any weight at all, in fact I was still losing, I had tiny stretch marks on my tummy! Ahh well!

Where in TX is your cousin? There are a lot of moms around here that would gladly get together if you were in the area!

Thanks! They are there though, and have gotten bigger since the pic, but I am not to worried about it. Just a little bit. lol.
My cousin lives in Austin. Her husband has been trying to get us to come down sometime so him and DH can hunt together. If we ever get to, it will be at least a year from now though.
