"This is for posterity, so be honest."
Are you infomercial crazy? What have you bought from infomercials? Which of those did you end up liking/using? Which of those do you most regret?
I used to LOVE infomercials. I tell you, it was a good thing I didn't have the money to spend on such things or I might have bought a Juiceman juicer, a ton of Orange Clean and a Shark vacuum cleaner, to name a few.
Eventually Orange Clean came to Walmart. I don't know if it was the same strength, but, I didn't think it cleaned all that great (thought it did smell good, for a cleaner).
So confess your infomercial secrets here (or what you bought from watching Oprah).
And, if you identify the quote at the top, you get extra points.

Princess Bride?
It might be easier to tell you what I haven't bought. :)
I've bought...Zumba, Michael Thurmond's 6 week body make over(TWICE!), showtime rotisserie, 6 star knives, pancake popper, mini burger maker, the one purse that they put an umbrella in and have the cell phone easy to find, hmmm let me think I'm sure there's more.
eta, steam shark, topsy turvy for tomatoes
etaa, I want the snuggie for dogs.

I haven't bought it from TV, I get it at the stores.
I bought some sort of onion chopper and floam.
I'm tempted to buy that dryer softener ball.

When I was in High School I was fascinated by Infomercials. I would watch them all day Sunday. The food saver was my fav back then and when it was time to register for wedding gifts that was the first on my list. (I LOVE it!). I also have The Firm System and loved that when I did it. Now i just don't have the time.

I have wanted many many things on infomercials. The only thing I've actually ordered though was that sugar goo hair remover and I ended up sending it back. It didn't work well at all.

I've never bought anything from an infomercial. But I love the Princess Bride quote.

Like JD, I didn't buy anything from TV, but I bought something from one of the stores: the Magic Bullet. We love it, and we use it a lot. I'd love to have the BOSU ball; Target carries it now.

OMG Judy I WANT the Magic Bullet!
I have bought some stuff over the years. I fell for the electrocuting tummy belt and I got an ab roller. Oh, and I got a little at home electrolysis thing that hurt like hell and didn't work. I also got some kind of spray hair removal stuff, but I don't remember what it was or how it worked.
Actually, all of those things were crap. I did, however, get a robe as a "Free gift" with one of them and I'm still using it years later.

Oh yeah, I forgot the big one that is staring me in my face. We have a Bowflex, too. It makes a great coat rack.
I have never bought anything from TV, but I'm often tempted. Lucky for me, my mom is a sucker and recently gave me her Magic Bullet when she upgraded to her super-awesome blender. We love it and use it everyday to grind our coffee :)

Never on TV, but I bought the space bags - huge mistake. They worked for a while but the ones under my bed filled back up with air. We had to take my bed frame apart to get them out.
Hair off mitten was only sandpaper and hurt like hell afterwords because I just sandpapered my legs.

My mom bought the flowbee back in the day, along with the clapper.
I hang my head in shame... I fell for the Thigh-Master.

I tried the Nads and it worked on my arms. I bought a small thing of it at walmart and will use it occassionally on my face. It's just too hard for me to get the skin taught in certain other areas for it to be effective and it's really messy.
I also use the ped egg and it works really good for my feet.

I was fascinated by the oxi Clean commercials when it first came out. It's in stores everywhere now, and really does work.
I had to have a turbi twist towel one Christmas - and I actually like it and still use it. I could use a couple more.
I like the snuggie idea, but I don't much care for fleece material. I want to make a quilted version one of these days.
I tried Space bags ( from WalMart) and they didn't seal so I took them back.
I do use those wonder hangers in the closets, I like those.
There is a steam cleaner thingy that looks wonderful, but I doubt that it will actually work, so I won't spend the money. but I wish it would.
OOoh and Yoga Booty Ballet is fun.
I have never ordered anything from the TV number, but I do look for the stuff in stores.

Why did I think the magic bullet was a vibrator?

HMM. I think there is a magic bullet vibrator, but that's not the one on the infomercials.
Yet.

See, I was a little shocked, Judy, when I read your post that basically said, "We got the magic bullet. We love it and still use it today." I was thinking, "Dang, I know this is a confession thread, but Judy doesn't usually confess stuff like that." LOL!
I'm pretty sure there is a vibrator by that name. I remember reading about something like that several years ago on themarriagebed.com.
So, Judy, do tell----what do you love about your magic bullet? *snicker*

This was the post that told me that I was wrong about the magic bullet.
But before I caught it all, the bolded part struck me as odd. And now I'm laughing at myself.

The dryer softener balls are awesome . . my gramma used them all the time and they are great . . you can find them in most drugstores now.

Hair off mitten was only sandpaper and hurt like hell afterwords because I just sandpapered my legs.
I had miserable experiences with both of these products. Pissed me off man.
Nads. The name should have told you all you needed to know there. In truth, I bought it too. It sucked. It sucked 'nads in fact.
WORD Nads was horrible and hurt like hell and didn't remove my hair.

I have never bought from a infomercials. BUT DD has been begging for some of those bend-a-roos, so there might be a first time for everything!

Dd's school had some bend-a-roos, or something similar. They were very flat and thin. Her teacher wasn't impressed, but the kids seemed to think they were fun.
My mil and fil just bought a Slap-Chop that came with a cheese grater thing (Graty??). Both are pieces of crap. The grater only holds cheese that is slightly more than bite size and since the blades aren't staggered on the grater, you end up scooping out a circle on the cheese. Once you've done this, you may as well take the cheese out and hand grate it yourself.
The blade on the chopper is non existant and just pulverizes whatever is underneath it. But, hey! I found that using it to smash onions to a pulp is a great remedy for my dry eye.

I have bought a Windsor Pilates video from tv. It was a good workout, what I could do of it. I guess they dont take into consideration that fat girls, like myself, cant lay on the floor and throw their legs behind their head. Well, at least they dont tell you on the infomercial.
And I bought a girdle/body suit thing, the Slim and Lift. I was neither slim nor lifted after putting it on.
My mom bought the flowbee back in the day, along with the clapper.
I hang my head in shame... I fell for the Thigh-Master.
I was longing for a Clapper last night when I collapsed in bed without realizing the toddler had turned on the lava lamp and I really wanted it to be pitch black. One of these days, I *will* own a Clapper!!!

What's a turbi twist towel? I've never heard of that one.

A girlfriend of mine had the Windsor Pilates videos and I thought it was a great workout. There weren't any fat girls, but there was a pregnant girl and another person (person someone elderly? I don't recall) with limited mobility and both of those people did modified versions of the movements. That shit was hard-core!

I haven't bought anything from the 800 #'s but I used to work for a telemarketing company before I was a SAHM and took calls for some of the things you guys have mentioned. That brings back memories. :) While working there we were offered discounts on some of the products and so I bought the Windsor Pilates used it for a while and then gave up on it. I sold it to my sister.

Tata, Turbi twist:
http://www.turbietwistllc.com/#
You have to watch the demo Video. Apparently, Turbie towels make you jump on the bed. I loved the original commercials that show women struggling very hard to put regular towels on their head. It's so hard, what is a girl to do with wet hair??
My life is better now that I have one.
