Just wanted to update a little on our first year of very relaxed "preschool" at home. We are doing 3 days a week with Lilly, and she is loving it! She tells everyone who asks her if she is going to school yet " i am going to school at home, and Mommy is my teacher."
It is so fun to watch her beg to learn! She actually begged me today to have school even though it was not a planned school day. So, school it is! We are doing "Apples" this month, and it has been really fun for her, and me! Brody even gets in on some of the action. We will be making applesauce playdough next week. Taking a trip to the apple orchard to pick out own apples then making applesauce and lots of yummy allergy friendly, goodies with the apples.
Oh and yes, the homeschool room (in our basement) is set up and pretty cute if I do say so myself, but you can go ahead and say "i told you so" we hardly even make it downs to be in that room. lol. BUT at least I have a nice neat place to store everything.
I am surprised at how much fun I am having myself! :hugegrin:
This was the first day of "school" on her new desk that my parents got her for her birthday. She loves it! She is coloring a picture of a mouth full of teeth, and counting the teeth.
