Hello I'm new here. I've been nursing my son now for 13.5 months and I have come down with this really bad cold. I wasn't sure if it was safe to take some Mucinex since what I saw on line was that they give it to babies as old as 2 months. Any thoughts? I have already taken a benidryl to try to breath and it seems to be helping but wanted to know if the mucinex was safe too.

I'm not sure what Dr. Thomas Hale rates Mucinex as...depending on response time, you can cross post this on the debate board too for a quicker response.

I thought Benadryl could effect supply. You should be able to call your pedi and have them look up safe remedies for you.
