my son just turned 1 and i would like to start weaning him, im not sure how to start i havent tried to give milk yet because he is still so attatched to the breast but he wont let me do anything, he has stranger anxiety he does not let anyone hold him besides me and his dad, and he starting to push up my shirt when people are around, i cant just feed him in front of people, i would like to try to break it now he is 2'5 and weighs 19 lbs

Congratulations, you must have raised such a healthy baby that he is doing exactly what a toddler should be doing;
Exploring the world, and running back to safety of the breast for grounding himself.
The world is such a big place for an one years old. Weaning should start both the baby and the mother are ready to do it. All these years I have heard many mothers coming to me and saying "I wish I nursed him/her little longer", but I never met a mom who told me "I wish I weaned him/her sooner".
If you can get try to read "Mothering your nursing toddler". It is full of ideas about weaning and carrying on little longer.
Good luck
Kindly
Ann
