Hi My daughter is almost 4 months old, it was 3 months back due to some travelling reason i started giving her formula. Later I noticed that my body is not producing any milk. I tried sucking with my daughter but all the efforts are in vein. Later i heard with fenugreek the milk supply can be restored.
Is that true and also if you can give me alternate ways to restore milk supply in my body. I feel very guilt when ever I look at my daughter face.:(

Hello and thanks for writing. The best way to increase milk production is hand expression. Here's a link for a great instruction in hand expression (http://www.thenewbornbaby.com/hand-expression/). Breasts that make milk can make more milk. Do not lose heart. Hormonal birth control can ake it difficult to produce plenty of milk.

thanks for the reply. Sure I will follow the link which you have provided.
Is that a good idea to take general fenugreek caps (available at GNC online)or are there any specific fenugreek tablets for milk production. What are the chances of reproducing milk in case of discontinuity like mine.

The chances are very good. Go for it!! I like the Motherlove (http://www.thenewbornbaby.com/the-new-born-baby-boutique/) products best for fenugreek, etc, esp More Milk Special Blend.
