Hii, my daughter is 7mos and was exclusively breastfed until maybe a few weeks ago when i had to start sending her formula to the daycare. One reason is becausing i am barely pumping nething. I am just not able to stimulate a let down ne more and thats generally how i would be able to get my supply. I have changed my diet and everything and still nothing. I look at pictures of her when i pump, i even try to imagine the milk flowingout of my breasts into bottles and nothing. its a little frustrating because i dont want to give up breastfeeding her...i didnt want to stop until she was one so im a little ticked off.
`Does anyone know anything else i can do to activate a let-down?

Gosh, I wish I could help. I have yet to letdown today and I have pumped twice. But I know my issue right now is dehydration, so I am chugging some water. My only suggestion is to make sure your water consumption is nice and high.

It's definitely easier said than done, but you have to try to relax about it all. I have been exclusively pumping for my twins for over a year now and a huge factor in my ability to get the milk out is definitely stress. Whenever I start stressing that I'm not going to have enough milk to make it through the day for the them, it starts a downward slide and I just don't seem to have a let down. Whenever I'm feeling happy and like things are going well, ironically I seem to have more milk than I know what to do with.
Good luck with everything. I know it isn't easy.

Thanks for the advice ladies. Yes, I know stress is a huge factor...so i try to limit that but not being able to pump barely anything sucks.
Candi: yeah i keep a gallon of water at my desk at work and drink it everytime im wanting to drink something. and of course at home i drink lots of water and my juice with dinner.
im just going to keep trying cause my baby loves the "golden liquid" and i would do anything for her.
