First time breatfeeder few questions

Hello my daughter was born on the 8th and I have started to breast feed her. Which I didn't do with my oldest. I had a C Section and I am taking some pain meds to help me move around as much as I can. I'm just worried that if I am on pain pills and I am breast feeding my baby it will negitively effect my baby. I would ask the Lactation consultant at my hospital but she talks to me like I don't know anything about anything. I guess just answer me back her or shoot me a email coleycoleyface@yahoo.com
