I gave birth to a stillborn baby girl at 22 weeks gestation on May 9, 2003. Her name was Gabrielle. She is buried in the same gravesite as my grandfather (who died in 1990.)

I just came to these boards for the first time today.
Sorry for your loss. My son was stillborn in May. It's such a hard time, so close to Mother's Day, everything is changing and growing and blossoming all around you, yet your baby never will. It's hard for me every year, even 12 years later.
Yours is also similiar to mine, except the opposite, in that you have 3 boys and you lost your little girl. I have 3 girls and I lost my little boy.

Thank you for sharing your story. The one-year anniversary of the stillbirth actually fell ON mother's day. I stayed home and cried and pouted. Some people didn't understand, because I was already 8 months pregnant with my next baby, but my husband supported me.
God bless.

I am sorry to hear about you loss, Mary. I lost my son 5 weeks ago at 22 weeks. His heart stopped beating and I went in for an induction and ended up having to have a emergency D&E.
We named our son Scott Peter and a couple weeks ago we went and scattered his ashes in the ocean. It was a very peaceful experience and now everytime I see a beautiful sunset into the ocean I will think of my little boy.

I'm so sorry that you had to go through that with Gabrielle. I wish she could be here with you right now. My sons are buried with my dad. I'm so sad that they have to be there at all, but I guess it helps a little knowing they are all together.
