and when my heart hurts more than I can bear,

Where are you, my babies?
Two of you, out there,

Do you sit on my shoulders,
even when I call out for you?
Even though I can not see you and I ask
Where are you, my babies?
Do you know how much I love you?
Do you know how you were willed into being?
Do you know how I wailed with pain when they took you away and I sobbed and sobbed,
Where are you, my babies?
As the years pass and I miss you,
As the years fly by like the tracks under the train,
I still turn my eyes to the moon
on the nights when it is clear and bright,
and I ask the stars and they do not answer me,
Where are my babies?
