Will nursing damage my baby's teeth?

BABY'S AGE: 18 days
BABY'S PRESENT WEIGHT: 8 lbs 8 oz  (two weeks ago)
BABY'S BIRTH WEIGHT: 8 lbs

I take my baby to bed with me at night and often  let him nurse while I am lying down. Sometimes I  will wake up a couple of hours later with him still at the breast and it is empty, while the other is  still full. Is this ok? I know that putting a baby to bed with a bottle sometimes effects his teeth later in life. Is that possible with a breast fed baby?

When your baby breastfeeds, your nipple is pulled to the back of his throat. This would bypass your baby's teeth, (if he currently had any). The problem with the bottle is the milk pools in the baby's mouth and sits on their teeth causing decay.  I am so glad to hear that you have learned how to nurse and get some rest at the same time. What a smart mommy you are.
