Lactation Consultant in Montgomery, Alabama. She was certified as an IBCLC (International
Board Certified Lactation Consultant) in 1987 and recertified in 1997. She has been a La
Leche League Leader since 1985.
Her business, "The Breastfeeding Encounter" was started in 1988, and offers home
and hospital consultations, a telephone warm-line, breastfeeding aids, pump sales and
rentals, and breastfeeding classes. In addition, she works closely with the Family
Advocacy Nurse to help military breastfeeding women at the two Air Force bases in
Montgomery, Gunter and Maxwell.
Cher's hobbies include collecting antique breast pumps and making any type of needlework,
especially bobbin lace, cross-stitch, and silk ribbon embroidery. |
