Margie
Forrest, RN, BSN, IBCLC
|
Upon receiving her BSN from the University of
Tennessee, Knoxville, Margie has worked in several areas, including Neurology, prison
nursing, ICU, and open heart units. She achieved her CCRN (critical care registered
nurse) while working in an open heart unit/ICU.
Margie then took some time off to have children, becoming a La Leche League Leader during
that time. With her LLL and RN background, she decided becoming an IBCLC would be a
perfect fit for her, and passed the exam with flying colors in 1994.
She is currently a Lactation Consultant on staff at Palms West Hospital, Loxahatchee, FL,
and also an instructor of Maternity Nursing at Palm Beach Community College, Lake Worth,
FL.
