Yvonne C. Bannister, LLLL, IBCLC

Yvonne's private practice, located in Hollister, CA, is called "Baby's BestFeeding" and her slogan is "A mother holds her baby . . . who lovingly holds her breast and gets the best!"

She continues to nurse all three of her children ranging in ages from 6 years to 9 months, and has received a BS in Biochemistry from Texas A&M University.  It is because of the science in breast milk that she changed careers.

Yvonne has been a Nursing Mother's Counselor since 1994, a LLLL since 1996, and IBCLC since 1997.  Yvonne is also currently working on certification as a Childbirth Educator and Doula.

Yvonne named her business "Baby's BestFeeding" because she believes a baby's best feeding starts in utero, continues with a natural delivery and through breastfeeding for however long that may be. She writes a column for the MAGIC Foundation's newsletter entitled "Ask the Lactation Consultant" in order to promote and educate about the importance of breastfeeding children with disorders. As a bilingual English/Spanish Lactation Consultant, Yvonne hope to be able to reach many mothers and babies.
