International MOMS Club

MOMS Club logoWhen an at-home mother in California realized there were no support groups for women who choose to stay at home and raise children, she started one - the International MOMS Club.

That was in 1983.  Today, the nonprofit organization has grown to more than 45,000 members in about 900 chapters around the world, and 25 new chapters are founded every month!

MOMS Club chapters (MOMS stands for Moms Offering Moms Support) meet during the day, and all members are encouraged to bring their children to the meetings.  Members often organize events and activities such as field trips, children's play groups and moms' nights out.  Different chapters in the same area get together for luncheons to network and exchange ideas.

The organization's goal is to provide support to at-home mothers, to provide a forum for mothering topics, to help children in the community and to perform at least one service project each year to help children in need.

Annual dues to join a MOMS Club chapter range from $15 to $25.  Registration fees for chapters are $30 a year or $2 per member per year.
