Nursing Mothers Counsel

The Nursing Mothers Counsel, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping mothers have a good nursing relationship with their babies, offers free information and support through its chapters.

Each chapter of the Nursing Mothers Counsel has volunteer mothers who answer phone calls from nursing moms who have questions and concerns 9AM to 9PM Pacific Standard Time!  Counsel members will even offer at-home visits for serious questions and concerns.  Each chapter works closely with a medical advisory board and offers its services free and with no obligations.

The Nursing Mothers Counsel believes it is each mom's individual choice on how long to breastfeed, and the organization supports all breastfeeding goals.  The counsel also supports breastfeeding and working.

Women who have breastfed for at least six months are encouraged to become chapter members.
