Bird's Eye View

by Jennifer Clauson

Carol was a new mother who needed to return to work before her baby was weaned. Being dedicated and efficient in regards to both baby and her job, she purchased a breast pump that could simultaneously express both breasts at the same time.

Since Carol was an executive, she did not need to hide out in the women's restroom. She merely locked the door to her plush office on the 14th floor of the company's high rise. Because she was up so high and the only visitors past her window were birds, Carol often sat by the window to pump. Imagine her surprise one day, when a window washer stopped by to clean her window glass while she was pumping. Eyes popping out of his head, he quickly moved on to the next window, ignoring the half year of dirt on Carol's window.
