I have a 6 year old son from a previous marriage.
Recently his dad and
wife, and I had babies 2 months apart.
When my son returned from his weekend visit, after the baby had returned
home from the hospital, he looked as if he had something bothering him.
When I asked, what is your new baby sister like?
Finally he told me what was weighing him down.
He said " mom I thought you
said she was a new baby?"
"She's lots older than that because she's drinking from a bottle and not from her mom!"
When I took him back to his dads I mentioned his comment to his step mom and she laughed.
She said that she does
breastfeed but she pumped it into a bottle when Blake was visiting. (she's a new mom and is embarrassed to feed around
him)
Awe, to feel that new mom feeling again!
I'm a mom of 3 and feeding time now with my newest baby is also book
reading time with my 2 year old or pulling him out of the toilet time.
Then there's breaking up the quarrels between the 2 year old and my oldest over whose truck is who's... but its not all as bad as it sounds the baby enjoys the stories, and he
laughs when the other boys are arguing ( which can hurt when he whips his head around to see what's going on and
doesn't unlatch before he looks...).
