Marie Michel's new born baby Stephon Hendrix Louis-Jean is
reported to be the biggest baby ever born in William W. Backus
Hospital, Norwich, Conn.
Michel's fifth child broke the record books when she gave birth to a
14 pound 13 ounce baby boy on Tuesday September 12, 2006.
Marie
was not surprised to give birth to a record size baby. Marie's first
son weighed 9 pounds at birth. She gave birth to twin boys weighing in
at 8 1/2 pounds each and her youngest son weighted nearly 12 pounds at
birth.
Baby Stephon broke an 18 year record for being the biggest baby ever
born at the hospital. The last record holder was 1 pound and 13 ounces
smaller.
At nearly 23 inches long, Dr. David Kalla said, "He's built like a
line backer." Dr. Kalla delivered Stephon by Caesarean section.
Marie
Michel, 36 years old, is happy that little Stephon is receiving so
much attention. After nine months of carrying him Michel stated that
"I was miserable, I couldn't sleep at night. My 13 year old son
had to help me get in and out of bed."
Marie and her husband Vijens Louis-Jean, a truck driver now have 5
sons age 13, twins 8, 3, and new born Stephon.
Michel
said, "I have baby clothes but I don't think they will be able to
fit, I think I will have to return them."
Baby Stephon is wearing outfits size 6 to 9 months and is way to big
for newborn diapers.
