Who Says Dad's Can't Breastfeed!
By Heidi Chislett I have a five year old son, Noah and a 15 month old son, Coen, who still breastfeeds. When Coen was born, his Dad took over from the Midwife and delivered him. Straight after, they lay me back and prepared me for stitches. Due to the fact it was the midwife's first time and she was learning this took 3/4 of an hour! In the meantime, the overseeing midwife (jokingly) told my husband to put the baby on his boob. Before we knew it he had ripped off his shirt and had the baby attached! He thought she was serious! Bubs didn't mind, he stayed suckling the entire time and only cried when we took him off! Dad has never lived it down and to this day he brags that he did EVERYTHING, even giving Coen his first feed! |
