When Life Gets Busy
By Breastfeeding College Student I just wanted to letting some of those mother's that think they just can't go on breastfeeding because their life gets to busy to keep pushing because they can do it! :) I am a 22-year-old mother of a six month old baby girl. At first breastfeeding was hard for me. The first 3 weeks were extremely painful. I pushed through it. Now as life gets busier I am still breastfeeding. I am a full time college student and am exclusively breastfeeding my daughter, something most may not be able to do. I work very hard at it. I pump milk for my daughter during the times when I have class and she needs to be fed. Just a week ago I was in class talking to a Professor and looked down and noticed that I was leaking :) Most would have been embarrassed at such a thing but I am not. I am willing to put myself out there and not be afraid of leakage because I know I am doing this for my child. So hang in there :) |
