I was in the last stage of testing for surgery to have a brain
lesion
removed.
I realized I was a little late for my annual GYN exam and decided to do that quickly, so I wouldn't worry about waiting another couple of
months.
The OB/GYN did the exam. Near the beginning he asked me if I knew I was pregnant. My response was "Are you sure?"
He looked at me with a grimace and responded, "Well, it is my job!"
We'd been praying for answers to the surgery.
I had recently said "God, yes or no: Do I have the surgery? Just give me a definitive answer."
Well, apparently I forgot the definition of "Definitive" !
The moral we drew from this was: Be careful what you ask for!
Your focus determines your reality. -Qui Gon
