Let me start out by saying I have 3 wonderful boys who are 4
years, 2 years and 4 months old. I breastfed my first for 6 months and was unable to breastfeed my second due to a disability he had.
He is unable to swallow thin liquids.
I am breastfeeding my 3rd and plan to for the first year.
So my oldest son is learning about breastfeeding this time since
he did not learn about it with my last child. He has asked all the many questions about what it is and how it gets in my
breast.
I, being a nurse have tried my best to be very truthful about everything to him.
He is very informed for a 4 year old.
And let me add he thinks that it is gross and always asks "for milk - the kind out of the
refrigerator mom, not your boob."
Anyway: My son Andru, who is 4 years old, drinks a lot of milk (cow).
One evening he finished off the last of what was in the refrigerator.
Upon awaking the next morning and getting ready for breakfast, he wanted cereal.
He of course asked for milk to go on his cereal.
I tried to explain to him that we did not have any and I would have to buy some.
After a long lecture from him about the need to always have milk, he asked what he was going to do about his
cereal.
I explained that he would have to eat it dry.
He was not hearing this.
He first asked about putting juice on it.
I explained that would not taste good.
He then thought long and hard, and said "Well mom, how about pumping some from your boob, you have milk in there!"
I laughed so hard.
I then explained that I was not the milk producer for the whole family just Christopher.
