I know how difficult it is to
breastfeed for the first time. I would like to share my first experience
with breastfeeding for those mothers who are thinking about giving up.
My daughter was born three weeks early after a very difficult last trimester. No matter how hard I tried I could not get her to latch on. No one in the
lactation depart could help either. So I took my little girl home and gave
in and gave her a bottle of pumped breast milked. I had decided that at
least I could pump and feed her by bottle and that was better than nothing.
Little did I know that after a while even with the breast pump you won't
produce enough milk for the baby. Thankfully, on the day of my daughters
original due date she finally breastfed for the first time. I was so excited because my milk was drying up and I almost had to give her formula.
She is now 17 months old and can not live without her booby. For me and
Sarah, breastfeeding is the most special time of day. I feel so very close
to her and will continue breastfeeding until she is ready to stop.
