City Bus Announcement

By Jen Smith

My baby was  nine months old when I found out  that she has severe allergies.

I chose to breastfeed almost as soon as I found out I was pregnant.

I have not regretted a minute of it.  We both love it.

She, like all other babies I know, does not believe in patience or waiting 5 minutes for her food.

One day we decided to take a bus trip.

Of course the bus was packed when my little girl decided,  "Feed me and now!"

I soon discovered that this is the day that, I left my blanket at the bus station.

I proceeded to feed my little girl, trying to keep my shirt covering what I could when this man announces loudly, "Your breastfeeding!"

The announcement managed to get half the busses attention as my sweet baby pulls off, looks up at me and smiles, then goes back to eating.
