Pumping While Mom Was Getting A Speeding Ticket!
By Martisse Best-Dettmer On the way from Virginia to Ohio, my mother was driving a little over the speed limit. Because it makes it difficult to drive and breastfeed, I decided to pump and give my baby a bottle. At the exact same time I was fully enacted in pumping, we heard the police siren.  The Police officer came up to the car to see me in the back seat, fully exposed and hooked up like a dairy cow to my pump. I'm not sure if he ( police officer) was completely embarrassed but when we couldn't find the registration quickly enough, he said never mind and hurried to his police car. But hey, at least I wasn't " pumping and driving." |
