At the moment, my new baby and SLEEP!

Interrupted sleepless nights!

I am a stay at home mom, just delivered my 3rd son on December 14th. He's gorgeous...of course!! ;) Breastfeeding and having a tough time. Nursed my other two with no problems but this little bugger is having a time latching on at times. He seems to prefer my left side to my right. Had breast augmentation in 2002, under the muscle and was worried that was going to be a problem. Milk came in just fine.

Congratulations on the newest member of your family! sounds like you're gonna have a special Christmas. I delivered my first daughter in California. Did you notice a difference between CA and TX?  I sure did. My post-partum room in CA had a queen bed and looked like a hotel room with a rocking chair. Nurses and doctors were more supportive about nursing and rooming-in too. I got your comment about your looking for a good nursing diet. I think "What to expect When Your Expecting" had one in it.  Best I've discovered is too increase calories by 500, decrease caffeine, chocolate, and alcohol. I have had this discussion w/ my doctor last week, to no avail though.  Someone else recommended a tea called Mother's Milk, I haven't tried it yet though.  My Grannie (mother of 7) has always sworn by chocolate milk.  My Mom nursed successfully, so I'm gonna keep to chocolate milk (probably not scientific, but I love chocolate milk so...). I did read something about not loosing wieght too quickly because it releases stored pesticides into our milk- I found this on the AskDrSears website- I love that website so check it out. Good luck and let me know if you figure any thing out!
