Blog Entry: When Lily was born she weighed 5lbs 15oz, when we left the hospital she weighed 5lbs 11oz, at her 2 week check she weighed in at 6lbs 2oz. At that time she was in the 10th percentile. Today was her 2 month check up and she weighed in at 9lbs 14oz! and she is in the 25th percentile! Her doctor said she was doing excellent and that I was doing a great job with breastfeeding her. Hearing that kind of validation from her doctor really touched my heart. Some days I think that bf is too hard and overwhelming and I come close to just giving up, but then I remind myself (with the help of you all at this site) that I am doing this for her and that this time will only be a drop in the hat in the great scheme of things. Him telling me that today just gave me an added boost. No matter if I have the off day with her, it is all worth it. She is healthy and doing great and I couldn't be happier to be helping her along the way. Thanks everyone for all your support and stories, you keep me going and help remind me why I'm doing this so that I can have days like this.
