Plz help not enough milk!
Posted On 06/01/2008 17:11:31 by ollej5
I have been breastfeeding for 3months now and have been back to work for 6weeks. My son is starting to eat more and I don't want to have to start supplementing with formula. Is there anything I can do or eat to increase my milk supply? I work from 5am to 130p, i pump twice while at work. Once at 7am where i usually get about 7-10oz combined from both breasts, then again at 11a where i only get about 5-6oz.

hi,
I also work and I have been breastfeeding for 9 months going on ten. I work from 8am to 4:30 pm
and I feed my daughter before I go to work and I pump every 2 - 3 hrs at work then I breast feed when I get home. The trick is to keep on pumping as much as you can. Your breast will produce as much milk as you demand from them. For the first couple of months pump evry two hrs until you establish a good milk supply. I would pump at night also and store all of my milk.

I have heard that Fenugreek tablets at GNC maybe other places work wonders on breastmilk supply.  It's natural suppliment and I think you are to take 3 three times a day.  (9) you know it's working when you kinda start smelling like maple syrup.

I plan to take it when I have the baby since I had supply issues last time arnd.
