My new adventure

Hello my name is Kendall, I am a new mommy to a beautiful baby girl. Her name is Emmaline Lois Lynn. She was born May 21, 2008 at 2:22 am. She was 6lbs and 4oz. Emmaline was a month early. I have what is called an incompetent(however you spell it)cervix pretty much i had to have a cerclose done. They had to stitch up my cervix so I wouldn't miscarry the baby. They caught it very early i was only 19 weeks along, which some women who have an incompetent cervix start to miscarry around then or about 20 weeks. We were lucky. i am engaged to a wonderful man,who i have known for four years and we were together almost a year out of the four until he move away. THen three years later i decided to move and go to school where he was living. i was hoping that we would hit it off again but i was thinking about getting pregnant. Though I wouldn't change a thing, without him i wouldn't have been able to make the whole eight months. I had to be on strict and complete bedrest the whole time, which was very hard for me. He had to do everything. He has a now three year ols littl eboy who he has custody of. His name is Kaden and if you didn't us you would think that he is my little boy. Even though he is not mine biologically that little boy is so dear to my heart, i have no idea what i would do without him.So with me being down and in and out of the hospital months at a time Brad had to take care of everything. I love him so much i literally have no idea what to do when he isn't around.  The reasons i joined this site is i have no friends here where i live. i moved here to start school and ended up pregnant the first month i was here and being down i didn't really get a chance to meet any new people. so i thought this would be a good place to start.

Welcome and congratulations on you new little bundle! Where are you located? I'm in MA ( and I'm very jealous of Mary living in AZ... I LOVE AZ). I have a 5 month old boy, Shawn Matthew and he was wonderful and the best little baby ever!!! Doesn't every mom say that though? lol I was on Bedrest from 29 weeks on because of pregnancy induced hypertension. God Bless you for being on bedrest as long as you were because I was going crazy for the 9 weeks I was on it! They were going to induce my labor at 38 weeks but I ended up going on my own 2 days before. When my husband and I started dating he ended up going to college in AZ for about 2 years. So I know how hard it can be to be away from the one you love. There was a time that I almost moved out there when he was there for a year but I didn't because of school. Hello there,
        My name is Kenya and I have a beautiful daughter named Karmen. She is one love of my life the other is my husband! I know exactly how you feel I had an incompenent cervix with my 1st pregnancy but they didn't catch it until it was to late! I had them at 20 weeks! A boy and a girl they lived for 6 hours and then passed away! With this pregnancy I wanted move  away from my home town to be with my husband in VA he's in the military! Well we moved together. So I had to make new friends and everything! I don't really know alot of people here either. I was 3 cm from 31 weeks up until they induced my labor at 39 weeks. I went on bedrest at 31 weeks! They taught I would have her early also but luckily I didn't. They were going to do a cerclage to but instead they said it would be to risky! Hi I am Mary my son is Caden also just spelled diffirent.  I am glad that things ended up good in the end.  I totally know how hard it is to have a new baby with no friends around.  I hope things are going good.  I am going back to school now also my husband says I cant have any more children without my dagree.  Plus I know what I want to be now, a lactation consultant.  Where are you located?  I am in AZ.  Where did you move from?
