Ambien
Posted On 08/19/2008 22:37:13 by mommy_melissa
While I was pregnant my Doc prescribed me 10mg ambien and told me I could take a half of one every three nights or so. Well now I am not pregnant but breastfeeding. I looked Ambien up online and everthing I found said that studies show no effects on babies of mothers who took 10mg a night. Does anyone know if this is okay? It is the only thing that helps me sleep. I take it around 10-11pm and my baby does not nurse again until around 7-8am. So I don't know if it would even be in my system still.

How does Ambien work for you?  (I'm just curious, I have a terrible time sleeping)  Does it knock you out? Or does it just get you to sleep?  My question is, would this be a good option for me if I'm still getting up at night to nurse my little one?  He's 13 months and STILL doen't sleep through the night.  So I need to be able to wake up if I need to.
