So, long time, no write. We have been getting in the groove of our new routine so I haven't had much computer time. My little boy turned 10 on september 21st, double digits, so he got to have some good birthday parties. A small my-side family, a small his dad's-side, and a bowling party with cousins from both. Our families are very different and everone enjoys themselves more if we separate the celebrations. He got almost everything he wanted because he never asks for much (thank God). It was great to see him so happy and it gave him some time to be the center of attention again after he's had to share the limelight with his new sister.
Lily is now 15wks old and we have our nursing schedule almost down to an art. Unfortunately, we still have our nay-sayers that try to make me feel bad about our feedings. They either think I'm doing it too often are not enough. Here's a peek at a usual day for us: about 5:30am- feed (I'd like to note that her diaper is dry in the morning and I'm not sure if that is normal but i do change her a lot and she normally let's me know if she's wet) about 6:15am get ready to bring Kristopher to school 6:27am- out the door to catch the 1st of 3 buses (by third bus, she's back to sleep) 7:35am- arrive at school, turn around head home 9:00am- we're back home, change her diaper, feed til 10-10:30am 11am-12pm- she naps, I eat/read around 12:15-1:20- she nurses 1:30- head out to make trip to get brother 3:30- (about 3x out of the week) she nurses on the bus around 5:00-5:30pm-she nurses 6pm-6:15-nursing 7:15-7:45pm- nursing 8:30pm-9:00pm- nursing around 10pm- nursing 3:00am- (about 2x a week) a little nursing
that's our schedule, does it seem weird or wrong to you? I don't know why I let it get to me.
We are pretty much a cloth diapering household. We use mostly prefolds and wraps though we have a few contours. I only use disposables overnight (which is kind of odd considering she wakes up dry 99% of the time) and if we go out with my mom. I truly like the cloths better because I have no blowouts and she seems to like it against her skin more. Many have said that they don't hold as much as a disposable but I don't know if that is true or not because I've been blessed with the ability to be a sahm and to have a daughter that hates to be wet so i know to change her after the first pee.
Lily has her 4 month check at the end of this month. I can't wait to see if she's made it to the 50th percentile yet. Well, that's all for now. Breast is best!!!!!!!!
