I am a mom to 2 children, when they were born I was all excited with the prospect of breastfeeding. With my first baby i ended up have an emergency C-section, I had a very hard labour as they induced me and things were prgressing fast. They filled me up with so many types of drugs, for all the discomfort I was feeling. I was able to breast feed my daughter for a while but my milk flow quit, after my appendix bursted 2 weeks after she was born. Very frustrating for me. When my son was born he was jaundiced and they wanted him to stay dehydrated, I also had a c-section, again I started off breastfeeding him but also supplementing him this lasted a week and a bit, then my milk kinda quit. My question now is, I am having a baby in a few weeks and its a scheduled c-section, and really want to be sucessful with breastfeeding, is there anything I can do to prepare the milk to be there a head a time, like should I be pumping or something like that, Feeling very unsure about all this, if any one has advice to give me I would so welcome it.
