This may sound crazy but I just weaned my second child like this. The first following the advice of my Grandmother who weaned and potty trained all 5 of her children the same way. Go to http://www.almanac.com/astrology/index.php , this will give you the days that are best for weaning. I just weaned my 10 month old like this! A few days before that date I took one feeding a day away, I would then entertain him or rock him. By the time the day came around I was down to one feeding at night. That night I kept him up later than usual and fed him cereal then rocked him to sleep. We are now 3 days without, I still have to rock him to sleep but he is not fussing to nurse. Give it a try!
