your milk is always good enough sweetheart! our bodies are amazing. it starts with this ball of cells, and grows a baby,it stretchs 100 plus times past our normal size, labors for hours and then presents us with this tiny human who relies on us to do everything for her. and to tp it all off, we make the perfect food for our young. Breast milk is as unique as our finger prints. no two womens milk is the same. its amazing beacuse a premie's moms milk is richer in cal beacuse that womans body knows she had the baby to early. so yes your milk is fine but was does concern me is the lb that the baby has lost. a couple questions.... how often is the baby nursing? how long? did you pump in the begining? it is normal for babys to lose some weight after birth. my son lost a half of lb. but he was also 5 weeks early and my milk did not come in until the 8th day. i was not even making drops. thats why i asked if you pumped, or do you know for sure your milk was in? let me know.

ARE YOU FEEDING HER ON A SCHEDULE? SOMETIMES WHEN FEEDING ON SCHEDULE THEY MAY BE HUNGRY BEFORE YOU THINK THEY SHOULD BE EATING & NOT FEED HER. DOES SHE ACT SATISFIED AFTER NURSING? WITH MY 1ST I DID THIS & I ALSO THOUGHT I HAD TO WAIT A CERTAIN TIME BEFORE FEEDING AGAIN BECAUSE I THOUGHT THERE WOULDN'T BE ANY MILK. BUT NOW I KNOW YOU CAN FEED ANYTIME (AFTER PUMPING, IMMEDIATELY AFTER FEEDING, ETC.) & STILL HAVE MILK. I WOULD FEED ON HER CUES-EVEN IF SHE JUST ATE. NOT ONLY WILL THIS INCREASE YOUR MILK BUT IT WILL ALSO SATISFY HER NEED TO SUCK. ARE YOU PUMPING IN ADDITION TO NURSING HER? I WOULD PUMP 2-3 TIMES EXTRA A DAY (YOU MAY NOT GET MUCH BUT YOUR STIMUKLATING YOUR BREASTS TO MAKE MORE MILK) & EVEN FEED HER MORE OFTEN. HOPEFULLY THIS WILL INCREASE YOUR MILK IN A COUPLE OF DAYS.
