whats a breastfeeding peer counselor? im nursing my son at 21 mo and he shows no signs of quittng either but how do you handle peoples comments?

I am so sorry it has been so long since I have signed in!  I work for the WIC department providing support and counseling to Breastfeeding mothers.

As far as comments go, I usually just told them "I will wean when she is ready." matter of factly and ignored anything else said.  That is the beautiful thing, it is your choice and no one else's business!!!!

Sorry I sent the wrong message.
However I just wanted to say hey! Thursday my daughter had a very high fever that only lasted for 24 hours it was weird. Since then she's been nursing around the clock I've barely had a break and all through the night as well I've been sooo exhausted. She's now 19 months and everyone but my husband has been givin me such a hard time. How do you deal with the constant nursing if you have had or have the same problem. I try to hold off to see if she'll take the bottle but lately she won't even take that by default.
