I just finished watching.  I had to hop online to finish the episode ~ flipping DVR cut out at 9:30.

So thoughts on tonight's episode?  Karen needs to hurry and find this group ~ I need her McFan thoughts! :D

Definitely my favorite episode so far this season.  Quick thoughts:

Norman looks like a psych.  He has the whole "And how did that make you feel?" look to him.

Cristina ~ "You can't have my apartment." *snort*

Bailey... Can I just say that I still freaking love Bailey.  Chandra Wilson rocks.

And George "I have to apologize to her, too" ~ perfect injection of giggle into a serious scene.

Lexie reaching out to Meredith ~ sweet.  Evern sweeter that Meredith let her.

The scene with the Chief and Mer, very touching.

Could that little boy have been any cuter?!  I loved his offbeat sense of humor.  "Daddy?"  That deserved a resounding LOL!  And "The sea is my new cubby."  What a sweetheart!

Sydney flirting up McDreamy ~ too funny!

Callie and Cristina cracking up over their respective failed relationships ~ hilarious until Norman hit the floor.  I love this show.  The way they infuse humor into tense situations and keep you on your toes is excellent.

I need to check who wrote this one.  It felt like a Shonda Rimes episode to me.  Hers are always my favorites; they're consistently the ones with the best writing.  Not that the other writers are bad, she's just the best.  I'll be pleasantly surprised if it was someone else who wrote it.  Grey's has the best writers around.

YAY for Callie *finally* moving out of that damn hotel.  Callie and Cristina as roomies is going to be interesting.

So George and Izzy are out in the open and all the way together now.  Huh.  That went fast.  I figured they would at least keep their distance for a while, allow Callie some time.  I love Callie for being a little bit petty and publicly outing Izzy and George.  I'm still a bit annoyed that she seems to be putting a huge amount of the blame on Izzy and ignoring George's culpability.  In fact, it seems to be a bit of a theme on the show ~ blaming the other person instead of the cheating spouse.  Derek is still keeping a distance with Mark, but he forgave Addison.  Callie calls Izzy a traitorous bitch, but simply tells George that she doesn't forgive him.  Meredith "slept with a married man" ~ whom she didn't even know was married.  It wasn't "my husband slept with her", it was "she slept with my husband".  There is a very key distinction there which clearly underlines where she places the blame.  I know it's something a lot of people do, but I still am not loving the stereotype.

Anyway, overall best episode so far this season IMO.  It reminded me again why I'm a Grey's addict.

I absolutely loved the episode.

The show was written by Krista Vernoff-she is by far, my favorite Grey's writers.  She has written some of the absolute best episodes.

I melted, when Rebecca/Ava said, "All I wanted to be was Ava."  And how yummy were they together?

Sydney makes me laugh.  Cristina and Callie in surgery were hysterical.  I loved Norman talking about his late wife leading him to surgery, to save his life.  And he totally needs to go into psych (although I like the character, and hate to see him go).

Bailey was fantastic, as usual.  I think they are setting Bailey up for some marital problems, which breaks my heart.  I want Bailey to have the happiest life ever.

I loved Meredith's scene with Lexie, talking about digging up the dead dog.  I loved the little boy.  Sloan is hot as ever, and I LOVED the nurses.  "We've been comparing notes".

Meredith and the Chief pouring Ellis's ashes down the drain in the surgical suite-how great.

I love Derek and Mark's relationship.  How freakin' hysterical-"Daddy?"  Best. joke. ever.

Krista Vernoff!!  No wonder it was so good.  She's fantastic.  She's written some excellent episodes.

They've been setting Miranda and Tucker up for marital problems for a long time.  It's been made pretty clear that he doesn't like her job, thinks it sucks up too much of her life and takes her away from her family too much.

Tucker and Miranda are having the same marital problems that Ellis and Thatcher had.  Exactly the same.  Bailey is the job.  She's a top notch surgeon and runs the clinic, too.  "My mother was all about pro-bono."  It's also reflective of the issues between Adele and Richard ~ he's married to his job, put his job first and it destroyed their marriage.  A recurring theme.

Probably coming in way too late but I agree that this was the best show of this season so far.

The guy cutting his foot off with a flippin' chain saw in the middle of ER because he felt it didn't belong to him - good stuff.

After Addison left I was ready to sign off on GA and her spin-off show but I am apparently too weak as I am watching both and surprisingly find them both fairly enjoyable.

I was never a huge Addison fan. I felt her role was forced and her expressions always bugged me. I was glad when she left, but I'm sorry to hear her show is so great - I don't want to watch it but may be forced to. I just think there are too many good looking people on these shows and it's a little irritating.

I watched the end of the 11/1 episode last night that I had taped. GOOD STUFF! Lexi and Alex? Whoa - but they looked so cute together. What ever happened to Ava? She just split? But last night when we were watching the end together (DH NEVER watches, but he forced himself b/c he knew it was only 5 more minutes and then got the clicker), it was the scene where George & Izzy were going to DTD and she broke down. But when they were snuggling at the end, I said, "he's gay IRL," and DH said, "she should be all he needs to change that." LOL - cliche, I know. I guess he thinks Izzy is hot. Even thru all her tears and hysterics!! I love a man who can look past the drama and stay focused on the hotness.
