WoW healer...?

I was thinking about starting WoW as a healer of some sort, A pally maybe. I'm not sure. I wanted to try out a rogue for awhile, but then I decided to try a healer because DH is always yelling "Where are the $%&^* healers?" in battle grounds. I still don't know what I want to be though because everyone says healers are everyones 'bitch'. What do you think?

I have not played a healer much. I leveled a pally to 19 to twink out for BGs, and I have a 22 druid. I'm not a good healer at all. I play a hunter and I kill my pet all the time because I forget to heal her lol.

 

But, my boyfriend has a 70 holy spec pally and plays him very well. He's a hell of a healer, in both BGs and raids. Blessing of freedom is flippin awesome in BGs (removes all movement restricting debuffs like snare and roots). 

 

In raids he beats most of the druid and priest healers on the healing meters. He realizes that his job is to heal and that's what he does. I know that's the problem with many pallies. They just want to kill people. 

 

I don't know much about priests, so I can't really help ya there. 

 

Either way though, you'll never have a problem finding a group for raids, instance runs, or PvP as a healer.
