Night Nursing
Hi, I'm new here and so glad to have found this site and especially this group.  I am still nursing Elijah, my 25 month old son and he shows no sign of stopping, and my plan is to let him self wean.  My question is about night nursing.  Do y'all nurse at night?  If so, how often?  I love nursing and have a very supportive husband, but lately I'm feeling a little sleep deprived.  Eli usually sleeps until about 2:30 a.m. by himself and then it seems like he needs me to nurse him on and off until he wakes up about 9ish.  I guess I was just wondering what everyone else is experiencing...  Thanks!

I'm in the same boat my son is a year old now and still nurses more than a couple of times at night. I feel like I'm running on empty every day. I even co-sleep but am still not getting enough sleep.

Same here
My son is 18 months and I thought for sure by the two year mark he'd outgrow, so to speak, this Mom's an All Night Diner thing. Your post makes me nervous I'll never sleep again, haha!! At about 2 AM my son seems to roll towards me and latch on, never fully waking up (as long as I comply) and nurses on and off until morning, so I feel sleep deprived like I did in those initial weeks with a newborn. If I wear a shirt that makes 'the girls' not as accessible he'll wake fully after rooting for my ba-bas and then we're all awake!

night nursing
My son has just started sleeping  a solid 6 hours, we co-sleep, so it's never been an issue to nurse, but boy is it nice to sleep more than 3 hours. Hang in there Ladies, it's worth it.

Still nursing

I first must say I was sooo over the moon to find this group! I have a husband, best friend and lots of family who constantly are at me for nursing my daughter. I work for Building Healthier Babies so i know that its the best thing i can do for her, but it still gets tough hearing it all the time from the people you trust the most!

My DD just turned 2 on the 1st of September. She is also co-sleeping with DH & I, she sleeps exactly like she did as a newborn. I feed all day long, and enjoy the closeness. She feeds every 1-2hrs on a good night, and as soon as every 15 minutes during the night on an off day. I am soo sleep deprived. But still living and loving it. Its such a short time in the span of my whole life. Sleep will come for me when they are teens and not wanting to get out of bed at all!
