I'm the mom of a 2-month old and I'm mostly supplementing due to a supply issue (nothing seems to help). I feel like the biggest failure in the world, especially since she's having issues with formula. I have to remind myself that I'm doing the absolute best I can which is all that really counts in the end. Besides, time goes so fast that pretty soon this will all be in the past.
That's right,it does go by fast. You are absolutely NOT a failure. I remember feeling the same way when I had to quit bfing my son. I was so heartbroken. I tryed everything, but my milk still dryed up. But now, after 6 months on formula,I have a healthy, happy 1 yr old. I am so glad that I did everything that I could to breastfeed. In the end I was able to find many other ways to bond with my baby.
