Cuticles
I pick at my cuticles and the skin around my fingernails. Once I start, it's like a never-ending cycle. I think it's exacerbated by colder, drier weather.

Mine are so bad right now, especially around my thumbnails. It's almost like a nervous habit and it drives DH crazy.

I pick at mine too.  I find I can avoid the really vicious part of the cycle if part of my picking is lotioning them up and then pushing them back with my fingernails.  It keeps them from hurting too much from the damage I inflict.

I pick at them also.  It is worse if my nails are short.  Right now they are looking pretty good.
