 Your welcome Sassy.  Anytime.

Just tell me when you're coming back to Manila so I can
cook you "pancit" and bring it over to the hotel. lol

I looked it up on google: Rice noodles are pan-fried with chicken, pork, shrimp, cabbage and carrots. Sounds wonderful. Thank you so much.  Sassy

You really came here?  When was that? How was the trip, the island, the food, the people you get to meet?

Do you have plan to visit the island again?

Yes. I was in the Philippines for a month in 1978.

I had been writting to a pen-pal for over 15 years and I wanted to meet her and her then 14 month old son.

We are still writting after 45 years. Her son is my godson and we write to each other also.

My pen pal now lives in Taiwan and her son and two daughter are still in the Philippines, oh and two grand daughters now.

I didn't want to visit my friend until both of us had children. My son was 8 months old when I flew to the Philippines.

We took a trip to Baguio City and I saw a valcano that was smoking.

We mostly stayed in Manila.

We went to play on the beach several times.

We ate mostly Chinese foods.

We went to a
jai alai game one night.

We went to a hugh aquarium area with dozens of small aquariums full of all kinds of fish.

We went to several Budda temples.

We went to the black market to by diapers once.

I am loving trying to remember all the things we did.

I loved the tropical
environment. I struggle to keep house plants in Colorado that grow to hugh trees outside in the Philippines. lol

I loved the visit with my pen-pal and her family.

I would love to return but will probably end up in Taiwan if I make the trip again.

Thanks for the trip down memory lane. Sassy
